Let's not even talk about Second Life, which is a given. How many online presences can you maintain?

Gosh. I feel spread a little thin...
So, I felt bad for neglecting my Vox and now I've gone and blogged a lengthy, out of control update! Read on if you dare...
I've been so hard at work at mygdala.com that I haven't posted anything substantial here in an age. I am really excited by how well M is for Myg is doing, especially with how our readership is growing and the new storyline Met a Stranger. Thanks to all of you for coming over and supporting us.
But you know what? There are some things about Vox I really miss, like seeing instantly when all my Vox neighbors update (which is rarely often enough for my taste -- you all could post every day and I'd neglect major amounts of real work to read you, ya know that?) I do stop by every day to check up on all of you though!
Anyway, as my dear pal Gala points out in her poignant (and aptly named) post Changes, things in Little Philly have changed a whole damn ton in the last month since my most excellent birthday party in Section 8.
One of the big changes is that Gala's been out working on a new island villa that looks like a beautiful secluded paradise. So the upshot is that she's not been around Philly a whole lot, is again thinking about selling I guess, and indeed is selling some parts of her land, but hell, I know how it is to want peace and quiet, which is why I keep my place in Dimidiata (shhhhh - don't tell!)
My maler half, Alex bought some land and is mid-construction on his long awaited barber shop and a pawn shop. We're excited to set that up because hopefully when it's done people can come in and sell their used crap there, like a real live pawn shop! What better way to get crack money? He's also happily pursuing a DJ career, something he happens to be very good at.
Also, we bought a custom water tower from Kezz Muriac, maker of the amazing blown-out water tower in the Wastelands. I'm totally excited about it, though we still need to do a little tweaking. It's become my favorite hideout, way above the city. Complete with peeping action into the Fitzgerald sex hotel!
Romana has been developing East Philadelphia like crazy, with work now completed on Wei 2008 headquarters and the new Wawa.
She's been a total sport in running for, well, we don't exactly know what she's running for, but she's running, and that's what counts. And as such, she's had a lot to say about important issues, like prim babies. Her words are so powerful, even the Second Life Herald took note!
As Gala tells us, Sable too has her very own land and store now - Blood Orchid ...
...which has so many wonderful things in it I've had to buy nearly all of them!
I've still got my beloved flat in Section 8, and will keep it as long as Gala keep Section 8 running. Why? I love the neighborhood and my neighbors. I love the way the place feels and looks. It just feels like my real home in SL and has ever since I first wandered in and ran into Johnny Skosh.
Speaking of Skosh, he's opened up a deluxe new deli in Trenton! (Actually, he opened it in Deadwood--if you want to search for it - search Skosh's deli.) It looks fantastic and will undoubtedly attract plenty of fresh meat for the display cases. I hope to visit a little more often in the future.
And as for me? Well, I've been contemplating lots of things these past few weeks. I've been dealing with a lot of heavy RL stuff that I'll just say I'm going to keep a lid on right now.
As far as SL goes, it's been a huge help in giving me something to focus on outside of that crap. Mostly I'm very deep inside the idea of using my SL experience to create story lines for M is for Myg, like Met a Stranger and Wei 2008. If you want to know a little RL piece of info about me, I have always secretly (or not so secretly) longed to be a graphic novelist. I can't draw for shit, but I've found that I can take SL pictures just well enough to help tell stories. The format is quite limiting, you know, you can only do so many poses, etc, but somehow working within these confines inspires the problem solver in me and helps push me forward.
Actually I'm quite grateful I've got the ability to throw myself into something creative like that right now, and thanks to all of you (those mentioned here and plenty others, like Lisa, Vanny, Vint and Andromega for starters) for being a part of my story. I'm gonna find a way to get the rest of you in too - you'll see...
'Til then, then.
People, we've got a very special treat for you. Our very own Mistress, Lisa Takao, has graciously consented to share her best shopping secrets with us. She's going to have a regular feature at mygdala.com called Mode Premiere, so be sure to hop on over and get ready to get your danged L on.
Finally, mygdala.com is here! It sure ain't perfect, but it's mine all mine people. Please take a look and hit me with some feedback, as it's still under development.
The best thing? You can ALL comment without having to be vox members! Whoopeeeee!
Hey all - please follow the linky and read Sue Stonebender's post on Thankfest 2007. It starts tomorrow, Friday, 3/16/07. Get in on the gratitude people.
Oh, it was on, people. Me, Gala and Alex were up until the wee hours riding the tail of my birthday bash into oblivion. I had a spectacularific time. The back lot was transformed into a badass block party. All kinds of cool folk turned out. I got tons of amazing gifts (and you were NOT supposed to do that!) and hell, I was just so happy that Gala decided to have the party after all.
There was really no other place I'd rather have been on my birthday. More on this later folks.
